I always end up with insane roommates too, so I can relate to some extent. Luckily, college dorms don't require you to find a new roommate for your old crazy one. I love the meteorite. He's fine as long as he gets his money (his words), but I don't know what the housemate would do if we just tried to leave her to deal with it - I'd be afraid she'd pull something that would make us come back to deal with HER problems. If so, then just leave because it's not your problem. If not, then you might have to deal with the roommate some more because you don't want to end up in some legal bind.
