Work together on something. Nothing makes me feel more connected to a partner than when I can see our combined work growing into something that's bigger than both of us -- whether that's a walk, where we go out into the woods and each of us is able to see something that the other one would have missed, or even something as simple as bouncing ideas back and forth off of each other to make something better than you could have alone. Cuddling and relaxing together are important, and when you've had a long day, it's so tempting to want to just kick back with your lover and not do anything -- but that's the easiest way for things to become boring and awful and sterile. Work together and acheive something together, and your love will grow, and you will love each other more as you empower each other and build each other up into stronger, better people.

I'm also told that puppies help. ;D

Andrew (fiance) and I draw romantic events out of a cup every two weeks. At some point earlier in the year, we both wrote down ten events, each, and didn't show them to each other. Then we cut them out, folded them and put them in a cup. We've written simple things, like going out and doing small stuff, going place together, etc. If you two don't have many good ideas, maybe find a book of them; Amazon reviews should lead you down the right path as to which one would be helpful.

You could always play paintball together. :B
