One year ago today, our Brody was whisked away from us. A neighbor left the door open and Brody, our beautiful little golden pup, took off out the door and was hit by a truck. A truck that didn’t even stop to see if he was okay. I still have nightmares about it, seeing it all happen over and over again. It’s been a year and certainly doesn’t feel like it.
We miss you so much Brody. You were the happiest dog in the world, our Dalai-Lama of dogs.
Oh no, I didn’t know about Brody.
That’s so awful. He looks like he was such a sweet, carefree boy. And you only had him for a few months… At least you were able to spend that much time with him. Our first greyhound, Guy, died very suddenly after we’d only had him about a year. He was the most amazing dog, and he taught us so much in such a short time.
My dog CoCo suffered the same fate a year and a half ago. She was a beautiful 3 month old pit and I know how you feel. The same exact thing happened and I was literally screaming in the street holding her lifeless body. I still think about it as it was literally the worst thing I have ever witnessed up close, in my entire life. I just wanted to say I’m sorry for your loss and you know Brody is looking down on you and smiling right now.
Also I love your site – you are on obvious pet lover, as am I, so you must have a big heart.
